  VO Visas || British Columbia invites 358 foreign workers, international students in PNP draw The BC PNP enables nominees and their dependents to apply to the federal government for permanent residence in the provincial nominee category. British Columbia invited 358 immigration candidates through  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP) draws held on October 26, 2021. Candidates from the  Skills Immigration  (SI) and  Express Entry BC  (EEBC) streams of the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP) received invitations in a regularly held general draw. More specifically, invitations were issued to those from the  Skilled Worker ,  International Graduate  as well as  Entry Level and Semi-Skilled  sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams.  VO Visas || Canada invited 888 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence The new Express Entry draw is the fourth consecutive round of invitations to invite only PNP candidates Canada invited 888  Express Entry  candidates to apply for permanent residence on October 27. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada  (IRCC) invited candidates who had scores of at least 744. All invited candidates had received an automatic 600 points because they had a provincial nomination from a  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP). Without the nomination, the lowest-scoring candidates would only have scores of 144. This is the third largest PNP draw of the year.   VO Visas || Alberta invites 293 immigration candidates in new PNP draw Immigration candidates with CRS scores as low as 300 have been invited through the Alberta Express Entry Stream. Alberta released details of an immigration draw held on October 12. The  Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program  (AINP) invited 293  Express Entry  candidates with scores of at least 300 to apply for a provincial nomination. This is the first draw held by the province this month.  Over the course of September, Alberta held four  Alberta Express Entry stream  draws each with minimum score requirements of 300. A total of 1,610 invitations were issued last month alone. Ontario is proposing legislation that would help internationally-trained immigrants get work in their field of expertise. If passed, the new legislation would remove the number one barrier Canadian immigrants face in getting a job that matches their qualification. That is, the need for  Canadian work experience  to get professional registration and licensing. The change applies to certain non-health regulated professions such as engineers, architects, plumbers, electricians, accountants, hairstylists, teachers and early childhood educators.   VO Visas || PEI holds second biggest PNP draw of the year The latest draw brings the number of invitations issued this year by Prince Edward Island to 1,541. Prince Edward Island held its scheduled immigration draw on October 21. The  Prince Edward Island Provincial Nominee Program  (PEI PNP) invited 204 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination. Most of the invitations, 195, went to  Express Entry  and  Labour Impact  candidates. The remaining nine invitations went to  Business Impact  candidates who had at least 72 points in the province’s immigration system.   VO Visas || Manitoba invites 459  PNP candidates The new draw brings the total number of invitations issued by Manitoba to 9,150 in 2021. Manitoba held a new round of invitations on October 21. The  Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program  (MPNP) invited a total of 459 immigration candidates across three  Provincial Nominee Programs  (PNPs). The results are as follows: Skilled Workers in Manitoba  — 388 invitations with a minimum score of 375; Skilled Workers Overseas  — 39 invitations with a minimum score of 716; and International Education Stream  — 37 invitations with no score requirement.
