  VO Visas || BC PNP Tech draw 89 immigration invitations issued So far in 2021, British Columbia has issued nearly 11,000 invitations to apply for provincial nomination. British Columbia invited 89 tech workers to apply for a provincial nomination on November 30. The invitations were issued through the BC PNP Tech, which is a stream under the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP). The BC PNP is an economic immigration pathway used by the province of British Columbia to attract experienced, high-demand foreign workers. The program gives people who choose to live and work in British Columbia a path to permanent residence. Candidates invited through B.C’s Tech draws must meet the requirements of one of British Columbia’s  Express Entry BC  and  Skills immigration  categories, which are managed through the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Canada’s economy continues to recover from the coronavirus pandemic, according to a new Statistics Canada report. A total of 91,100 people were added to payrolls across Canada in September, representing the fourth straight monthly increase. Payroll employment increased in eight provinces. Ontario led the way with over 43,000 new employees added to payrolls. British Columbia (BC) was second, followed by Quebec. Nationally, job gains were driven by the services-producing sector, namely accommodation and food services, public administration, and finance and insurance. Statistics Canada notes  that the re-opening of the Canada-U.S. border in August and easing of travel restrictions for tourists in September may have contributed to job growth in tourism and related sectors.   VO Visas ||  Saskatchewan announces new immigration program Hard-to-Fill Skills Pilot Program created to support Saskatchewan's labour market demands in key sectors. Saskatchewan announced a new immigration pilot on November 25. The Hard-To-Fill Skills Pilot will allow Saskatchewan employers to recruit international talent for certain in-demand occupations. The eligible jobs under this pilot will include entry-level positions that may require on-the-job training. British Columbia invited 357 immigration candidates through  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP) draws held on November 23. The province held two draws through the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP) and invited candidates from the  Skills Immigration  (SI) and  Express Entry BC  (EEBC) streams. Invitations were issued to those from the  Skilled Worker ,  International Graduate  as well as  Entry Level and Semi-Skilled  sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams. Alberta invited 200 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on November 9. The  Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program  (AINP) invited candidates who had scores of at least 343 in the  Express Entry  system. The latest draw is the first one of many with a higher cutoff score than 300, which is the minimum needed to be eligible for the  Alberta Express Entry Stream . Canada invited 613 Express Entry candidates to apply for permanent residence on November 24. All invited candidates had previously received nominations through a  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP). The automatic 600 points that come with the nomination drove the minimum cut-off score to 737. Without the nomination, the lowest-scoring candidate would have had 137 points. This is the sixth PNP-specific Express Entry draw that  Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada  (IRCC) has held in a row.
