Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada  (IRCC) held its latest draw on September 1. The minimum score cutoff was 764, since all candidates had a provincial nomination worth 600 points in the Express Entry system. The maximum number of points one can possibly receive is 1,200. Quebec invited 502 immigration candidates to apply for permanent selection on August 19. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) issued invitations under the  Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program  (QSWP). Candidates must have registered their  Expression of Interest  (EOI) in Quebec’s online registration portal,  Arrima . An EOI is a pre-application screening process. British Columbia invited 374 immigration candidates in two  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP) draws held on August 3, 2021. Since February, British Columbia has been conducting two separate rounds of invitations twice a month as part of its PNP program. The province holds a general draw and a second draw targeting retail and wholesale trade managers as well as restaurant and food service managers. According to information released by the province, this second draw is due to a high number of people registered in the BC PNP  Skills Immigration Registration System  (SIRS) with these two occupations. The Province of Prince Edward Island held its regular monthly immigration draw on August 19. The province invited a total of 161 immigration candidates through its  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP). Saskatchewan held a new immigration draw on August 19. The   Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program  (SINP) invited a grand total of 496 candidates through two  immigration programs . Of those invited, 161 may be eligible for the SINP’s  Express Entry subcategory , and 335 through the  Occupations In-Demand sub-category .
