Quebec invited 502 immigration candidates to apply for permanent selection on August 19. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) issued invitations under the  Quebec Regular Skilled Worker Program  (QSWP). Candidates must have registered their  Expression of Interest  (EOI) in Quebec’s online registration portal,  Arrima . An EOI is a pre-application screening process. British Columbia invited 374 immigration candidates in two  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP) draws held on August 3, 2021. Since February, British Columbia has been conducting two separate rounds of invitations twice a month as part of its PNP program. The province holds a general draw and a second draw targeting retail and wholesale trade managers as well as restaurant and food service managers.
