 VO Visas || British Columbia invites 340 in latest PNP draws By having weekly draws, B.C. has issued more than 10,000 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination since the start of the year. British Columbia invited 340 immigration candidates through two  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP) draws held on November 9. From these two draws, the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP) invited candidates from the  Skills Immigration  (SI) and  Express Entry BC  (EEBC) streams. Invitations were issued to those from the  Skilled Worker ,  International Graduate  as well as  Entry Level and Semi-Skilled  sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams. Manitoba held a new round of invitations on November 1. The  Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program  (MPNP) invited a total of 421 immigration candidates across three  Provincial Nominee Programs  (PNPs). The results are as follows: Skilled Workers in Manitoba  — 350 invitations with a minimum score of 460; Skilled Workers Overseas  — 38 invitations with a minimum score of 713; and International Education Stream  — 33 invitations with no score requirement. B.C. invited 77 tech workers to apply for a provincial nomination on November 2. The invitations were issued through the BC PNP Tech, which is a stream under the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP). The BC PNP is an economic immigration pathway used by the province of British Columbia to attract experienced, high-demand foreign workers. The program gives people who choose to live and work in British Columbia a path to permanent residence.   VO Visas || Quebec Sets New Immigration Target for 2022 On Thursday, the Canadian province of Quebec released its new immigration plans that set a target of inviting 52,500 new immigrants to the province for permanent residence. Quebec Immigration Plan The province tabled the  Quebec Immigration Plan  in the National Assembly, according to the provisions set in the Quebec Immigration Act. The Plan is in line with the objectives set during the public consultation that was held in the summer of 2019 as part of the province’s Quebec Immigration planning for the 2020-2022 period. It asks for the admission of 49,500 to 52,500 immigration candidates that year, apart from an extra 18,000 new admissions, to reach the levels that were not achieved by the federal government last year due to the onset of the global pandemic. British Columbia invited 358 immigration candidates through  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP) draws held on October 26, 2021. Candidates from the  Skills Immigration  (SI) and  Express Entry BC  (EEBC) streams of the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP) received invitations in a regularly held general draw. More specifically, invitations were issued to those from the  Skilled Worker ,  International Graduate  as well as  Entry Level and Semi-Skilled  sub-categories of SI and EEBC streams. The minimum scores for that draw ranged between 68 and 91 points. A total of 306 candidates were invited. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada  (IRCC) invited candidates who had scores of at least 744. All invited candidates had received an automatic 600 points because they had a provincial nomination from a  Provincial Nominee Program  (PNP). Without the nomination, the lowest-scoring candidates would only have scores of 144. This is the third largest PNP draw of the year. The largest was 1,002 Express Entry candidates invited on June 23, and the second largest was 940 on June 9. In the  previous PNP draw , IRCC invited 681 candidates with scores of at least 720.
