Manitoba invites 404 Express Entry candidates in new PNP draw ||VO Visas

Manitoba invited 404 Express Entry candidates in a new round of invitations, in an unusual draw held May 27.

The Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Express Entry candidates who may be eligible for the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.

Invited candidates needed to have a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 601 in order to be invited. This score is tabulated based on Manitoba’s EOI scoring matrix. It is not the same as the federal Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) for Express Entry. There was no CRS requirement for this draw.

Typically, the province only invites a few Express Entry candidates at a time. The majority of invites are divvied out between candidates who may be eligible for the Skilled Workers in Manitoba, International Education Stream, and non-Express Entry candidates applying under the Skilled Workers Overseas stream.

Invited candidates may now apply for a provincial nomination from Manitoba. Since they all have Express Entry profiles, a nomination from a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) will automatically grant them an extra 600 CRS points toward their score, more than enough to receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
