Occupation In-Demand with scores of 65 were invited to apply for a provincial nomination by the province.

Saskatchewan invited 269 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on May 25.

The invitations went to candidates who may be eligible for a nomination from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), specifically from the International Skilled Worker category. For this invitation round, Saskatchewan targeted candidates in the Occupations In-Demand sub-category.

Invited candidates needed an EOI score of at least 65 in order to be invited. This score is five points lower than the score needed in the previous selection round. They also needed Educational Credential Assessments to demonstrate their foreign education was comparable to the Canadian standard and work experience in one of the 36 in-demand occupations listed on the government webpage.

The province uses an Expression Of Interest (EOI) system to manage the pool of candidates for two of its Express Entry and Occupation In-Demand sub-categories.

The EOI is a “pre-application” process that allows immigration candidates to complete a form indicating their interest in applying to immigrate to the province.
