BC PNP Tech Pilot Draw: 68 candidates invited | VO Visas | So far in 2021, B.C. has issued 4,876 invitations to apply for provincial nomination through its PNP.   B.C. invited 68 workers in the technology and information technology sector to apply for a provincial nomination on June 1. The new invitations were issued under the province’s Tech Pilot, which is part of the  British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program  (BC PNP). This means that eligible candidates must meet the requirements of one of British Columbia’s  Express Entry BC   and Skills immigration categories, which are managed by the Skills and Immigration Registration System (SIRS). Those invited in today’s draw were from the Skilled Worker and International Graduate subcategories and needed a minimum provincial score of 80.   Manitoba invites 404 Express Entry candidates in new PNP draw ||VO Visas  The largest draw of 2021 brings the total number of invitations issued by Manitoba up to 3,422 so far this year. Manitoba invited 404 Express Entry candidates in a new round of invitations, in an unusual draw held May 27. The  Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program  (MPNP) Express Entry candidates who may be eligible for the  Skilled Workers Overseas  stream. Invited candidates needed to have a minimum Expression of Interest (EOI) score of 601 in order to be invited. This score is tabulated based on Manitoba’s EOI scoring matrix. It is not the same as the federal  Comprehensive Ranking System  (CRS) for Express Entry. There was no CRS requirement for this draw. Typically, the province only invites a few Express Entry candidates at a time. Quebec invited 90 immigration candidates to apply for permanent selection on May 27. The Ministère de l’Immigration, de la Francisation et de l’Intégration (MIFI) invited candidates under the Regular Skilled Worker Program (RSWP) who had filed an Expression of Interest (EOI) in Quebec’s online registration portal, Arrima. There were two categories of candidates invited in the latest round: those who had a validated job offer; and those who were in Quebec as a diplomat, consular officer, United Nations representative, or a representative of any intergovernmental organization with operations in the province, and their staff. Saskatchewan invited 269 immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence on May 25. The invitations went to candidates who may be eligible for a nomination from the Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP), specifically from the International Skilled Worker category. For this invitation round, Saskatchewan targeted candidates in the Occupations In-Demand sub-category. Invited candidates needed an EOI score of at least 65 in order to be invited. This score is five points lower than the score needed in the previous selection round. Ontario invited 986 Express Entry candidates with scores as low as 300 to apply for a provincial nomination on June 1. The   Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program  (OINP) invited candidates who may be eligible for a nomination through the   Ontario Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream . Candidates scores in the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) were between 300 and 379. Invited candidates had submitted their profiles between June 1, 2020 and June 1, 2021. If invited candidates receive the nomination, they will be effectively guaranteed to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw. Canada held a new Express Entry draw on May 31, inviting 5,956 candidates to apply for permanent residence. The new draw targeted candidates who are eligible for permanent residence under the  Canadian Experience Class  (CEC). Invited candidates have had at least one year of skilled work experience in Canada plus intermediate official language skills, among other criteria, in order to be eligible for the CEC. Alberta invited 250 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on May 18. The province announced the draw on its website last night, on May 25. Invited candidates must have a valid Express Entry profile with a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) requirement of at least 301. It was the 10th draw of the year held through the Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP). Alberta has now invited 1,909 Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination since it resumed issuing nomination certificates in January 2021 after a temporary hiatus. If the invited candidates are eligible for the nomination through the Alberta Express Entry stream, they will automatically get an additional 600 CRS points toward their overall score in the Express Entry system.
