Canada’s PNP immigration results for May 2022 || VO Visas A look back at last month's Provincial Nominee Program update and the results across the country Canada's Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) sent out more than 1,400 invitations to apply for a provincial nomination in May. The PNP is an immigration program administered by the federal, provincial, and territorial governments. It provides Canadian provinces and territories with the opportunity to create their own immigrant streams to better meet their labor market needs and economic development goals. Canada introduced the PNP in 1998 to distribute the benefits of immigration more equitably among provinces and encourage immigration to smaller provinces and less populated areas of the country. Today, PNPs make up a significant portion of economic immigration in most Canadian provinces and territories. In fact, many smaller Canadian provinces, such as Newfoundland and Labrador, Prince Edward Island, Nova Scotia, New Brunswic
